In the 1990s, Russ McLean lost a friend to debt-suicide. The only meaningful thing that he could do to help remedy this tragedy and reduce the 400 debt-suicides in the UK every year was to register a charity. The original DIIY debt survival manual was published was fairly basic as following a "Talk Radio" interview with Scott Chisholm in London, the demand on our small charity for help sky-rocketed. So this basic manual was produced within four weeks...
