The Source-of-Funds to purchase Flat-3 at Tod Head Lighthouse Station by Montrose, DD10 0TH for £99,000 came directly from the sale of the Noss Head Lighthouse Station buildings by Wick, KW1 4QT. Following a stroke, Russ McLean can no longer drive 7 hours from the family home in Carnoutstie to the Noss Head lighthouse dwellings. Fortunately the Tod Head equivalent style of building in Montrose is only a 1-hour drive an relatively easy to travel between famil and a private home.

The funds from the sale of the Noss Head Lighthouse buildings at Wick, Caithness were paid into Russ McLean’s solicitor’s Client Account at Hay Cassels under the dedicated ownership that David Rutherford and Russ McLean direct. This company is: Noss Head Lighthouse Station Ltd.

These funds were then transferred as per Law Society regulations to the Noss Head Lighthouse Station Ltd., bank account from Hay Cassels Solicitors too where they still reside until needed in respect of the To Head Lighthouse Station purchases on 4th April 2024. Audit trail detail included below (wherever possible, the official source internet-links for the Companies House and Registers of Scotland/HM Land Registry pages alongside for ease of reference and to audit fully.

Because none of the limited companies directed by Russ McLean and David Rutherford borrow from banks, nor have any mortgage, the funds to operate have been LENT to the companies by the directors. two sets of £99,000 funds (totalling £198,000) are being repaid to David Rutherford and Russ McLean from the funds they lent to the companies. The audit-trail is included on this page. The funds lent TO the companies BY Russ McLean came from cashing in his pension and superannuation from when he worked as a police officer with Strathclyde Police. The balancing funds he LENT TO the limited companies have come from the sale of Russ McLean’s sole/main residence when he worked in London (details below). A Russ McLean is retiring on 23rd May 2024 (next month) it is time for the limited companies to repay some of the pension funs back to him (audit-trail details below). £99,000 of which is to be deployed in purchasing Flat-3 at Tod Head Lighthouse Station, where Russ will be retiring….

The other £99,000 being repaid to the directors is being lent to Davi Rutherford’s brother for the purchase of Flat-2 at Tod Head. Russ is disabled and awaiting furthr spinal surgery. It will require several months recovery and rehabilitation. Hence Paul will be living next door to assist in that respect.

drawn down by Russ McLean is being lent reason for selling the Noss Head Lighthouse residences and buying the Tod Head is following an accident where Russ McLean was hit on the head by a 5,000 ton car ferry and sustained a stroke (here). Russ has been passed by police qualified drivers and medical professionals as fit to drive following rehabilitation and recovery. However post-stroke-fatigue means the 14 hour round-trip commute from family in Carnoustie to the Noss Head home (by John O’Groats) means the commute is no longer sustainable.

whereas the much nearer Tod Head Lighthouse home is a gently one-hour drive. So this transaction effectively swaps one lighthouse home in the far north (Noss Head) for a lighthouse home (Tod Head) which is much nearer to family in Carnoustie. This is logistically very important given the ongoing rehabilitation from i

99,000 by Russ McLean (total £198,000)

Purchase of Tod Head Lighthouse Station

The reason for this transaction is a stroke that afflicted the director of the companies as documented on this page.

The director, Russ McLean is no longer able to travel the 7-hour journey from the family home in Carnousties to the lighthouse home and property at Noss Head Lighthouse Station on the far north coast of Scotland.

A solution has been found: to sell all of the buildings at the far northern Noss Head lighthouse Station and purchase the much nearer Tod Head Lighthouse Station at just 1-hour drive-time from the family in Carnoustie to the Tod Head Lighthouse Station, Montrose, DD11 0TH.

SOURCE OF FUNDS ~ NOTE 1.
